Add extra functionality with modules
Site Foundry offers a suite of stock modules that will get your new installation up and running as quickly as possible. Each module is fully featured to cover the majority of applications and serve as a great starting point to add further functions.
Below is our list of stock modules. For prices, please see our configuration page to generate a quick quote.
Site Foundry module list
This module manages any product/item handling function needed by websites. Organise groups of products into categories, assign a description title and external URI. If you install the eCommerce module below, you can turn this Products module into the basis of a full eCommerce system with the addition of prices and 'add to shopping basket' buttons.
This module is also ideal for brochure sites needing product-listing functions with no direct online selling.
Please note, to build an online store the module requirements are:
- Products
- eCommerce
- and we recommend using the User module
The quickest way to sell products online with the minimum of fuss. The eCommerce module adds all the functionality to get the Products module selling.
It includes a shopping basket portal that can be placed anywhere on any page with general features such as 'edit basket' (quantities etc.), 'clear basket' and 'pay now'.
The module will also handle payments (a nochex gateway is included in the price, but any other gateway can easily be integrated) and show transaction details to aid processing orders – sending emails to the user (as long as the user module is included) at each step of the process (receipt of payment, dispatched order).
Please note that you will also need to include the Products module. We would also recommend including the User module for enhanced management.
Open your client's site up with User Functions: track (user details), assign content to user groups and plug straight into the Forum, eCommerce and Weblog modules; and for that matter, any bespoke module that requires user functions.
The module will handle all sign-up function, forgotten passwords and management of user accounts – as well as providing a detailed management tool allowing you to edit all user data (including delete and deactivate).
Blogs can add a sense of dynamism and currency to any site. Fully featured, the Weblog module covers all pingbacks, spam prevention, XFN linking, comment tracking, IP banning and includes standard RSS templates for short and long article versions.
The scenario – your client has a regular user group to their site and want to create a place for them to share ideas, tips etc. The answer - the Site Foundry Forum module - a fully featured forum engine that will cope with anything thrown at it.
All discussions are managed with the back end management tool and all functions link in seamlessly with the User module. Each discussion is managed by an administrator in the front end with additional management tools that allow your client to completely control all aspects of user input. For extra control, a multilingual profanities filter is included that is easily activated and deactivated as needed.
Constant updates are important for any website to look current and news sections are often the quickest and best way to achieve this.
The news module provides a portal version (showing short versions of each of the three most recent articles – and can configured to use Flash if so desired), as well as an RSS template and a full back end management tool.
Let your clients’ site handle mass email communications with users via the Site Foundry Mailer module.
The module spreads the email load on the server so that it can handle many thousands of emails in each job; the back end management tool tracks the progress of this process and includes tools for formatting and sending test emails (as an example) from the server.
To use the Mailer module, you will also require the User module.
